1971 Flashback - The Crying Indian Commercial

Posted in environment

Remember the famous 1970’s public service announcement about the crying indian? I was just thinking about it, and the impact it had on people with regards to littering and pollution.

I just did a search, and found it on YouTube. Thought I’d post it here.

Have you ever driven through an Indian Reservation?
I’ve spent a lot of time on them.
I recall that or another commercial like it.
Contemporary Native Americans seem to have forgotten that Stewardship of Nature stuff. Especially the ones that benefit from Casinos.
Their Huts and Tipis have been replaced with Energy hogging junkyards.
Most drive enormous jacked (lifted) up trucks that fall by the wayside when they go into disrepair. They run roughshod over the environment with their airboats and swamp buggies.
