Cagora- What is Cagora and how does Cagora Work?

Posted in Cagora, local search

What is Cagora? Cagora is a unique local search concept, that may become the next big thing on the internet. The best way to explain Cagora is that it’s combination of online directories, social networking, marketplaces, and local search that includes funding nonprofits and charities.

The Cagora program is a “crowdsourcing” concept, which means it is community created program.

With Cagora, a business can get first page results in Google, without having to pay a cent to get there. Then, once the business is there, they simply pay just $297. Talk about low risk with big reward! Cagora brings a business into 1st page Google results in a very unique way which you can learn more about here.

There are revenue opportunities throughout the program. Below are some of the different opportunities on Cagora:

1) You can become a Cagora Community Partner, which means you can buy into a zipcode, a keyword, a city, a state, etc., and continually earn money through a blueprint system on everything that happens within that community, which can be very lucrative. There are of course limited Community Partnerships available, so if you want to do this, you should secure your niche, your zipcode, your city, your state, etc. You can get more details here

2) You can become a Cagora Community Sponsor and earn passive income. Here’s information on that here.

3) You can become a Cagora affiliate, and earn revenue from people that you refer to Cagora communities. To learn more about the Cagora affiliate program, go here.

4) If you are a registered charity, or if you are a club, school, or other organization, you can earn revenue on Cagora as well. To learn more about the different fundraising options that are available, go here.

It’s certainly an interesting concept that has peaked my interest. I’ve decided to join the affiliate program. If you join the affiliate program ( which is free ) before March 31st, you will benefit from a 2nd Tier affiliate structure, which means you will get paid on what the affiliates that you recruit earn. After March 31st, Cagora will not be offering the 2nd tier affiliate option.

I think it’s worth joining now (even if you don’t do anything with Cagora just yet) so that you have the 2nd tier option. You want to have that in your pocket. I have the feeling that in a year or so, when you see how this plays out on the internet and the buzz that surrounds it, you’ll wish that you had that 2nd Tier affiliate option. Simple Ways To Reduce Your Fuel Bills

Posted in Life, environment

If you’re thinking that by whipping green paint to your house will make it “green”, think again. There’s a much better idea!

While everybody knows that saving energy at home is very important, we find that there are a lot more ways to really conserve energy by giving it some extra effort. Below are some of the practical and easy (and not so easy) ways that you may want to start on.

A good start is to look for easy fixes. Some home components like as windows, heating and cooling systems, and ducts’ insulations can run inefficiently and waste so much energy resulting to high electricity costs. It is therefore important to read first on products’ specifications and use directions before installing.

Energy efficient windows are good in keeping keep cold air out. But if in case you don’t have these, you may opt to hang insulating curtains and drapes to increase window energy efficiency or you can place a towel along the window hedge to block cold air from coming in.

As a general rule, keep doors and windows closed when some heating or cooling units are in use.

When using AC during summer, it’s also important to keep on reasonable temperatures. You may set and keep the air condition at 78°F once you’re inside and 70°F for heating. Remember that each degree of heating or cooling can cost you an additional four to five percent in energy costs. Your parents will surely be happy if you can reduce their heating bill!

When buying new appliances, prefer those that are efficient and energy saving. You can even suggest to your parents to purchase “Energy Star” products since they’re proven to be efficient.

Filters should be clean and free from getting clogged since it wastes more energy if so. Replace filters also when necessary. Also, I suggest that you hire someone who can professionally check your appliances regularly, especially the heating and cooling systems.

Remember to turn off your air conditioners when not in use or at least give them some break. Shading your home and windows can be good as well. Use shades, awnings, or sun screens or even a tree or plant. This can save you up to 8% of your electricity costs.

A simple way to save energy from your computer is to put it on “hibernate mode” if you think you’ll be away to more than 30 minutes. This can save you from having to turn off you computer, but not to the point where you have to restart everything once again.

For your lighting, prefer using compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs). These lamps can save three-quarters of the electricity used by incandescent. Use dimmer switches, timers, or motion sensors on incandescent lights if you have them.

When using your refrigerator, keep fresh foods at 37 to 42°F, while frozen foods at 0 to 5°F. Adjust the temperature when needed so it’ll be appropriate.

Ensure that the use of washer or dryer is maximized. Washing only two pairs of socks when the machine could wash a lot more can wastes energy and water. It is good to schedule washing your clothes in batches so you won’t have to do laundry as often.
